Even if it seems gross, having sex during her period is actually safe. If you think you can handle a bloody sex, literally, then you can do so. Just make sure that the sheets are not white so you can’t see the mess that you have.

But let’s make things clear. Intercourse while the lady has her menstruation is safe as long as you know when the blood would start to rush. Blood inside the body is a substance that helps us live. But when it comes to menstruation, it can be the best agent to transfer infectious diseases as it carries agents that are filled with bacteria and viruses. So think twice before you start engaging in sexual activities during this time of the month.

Other than that, there is also a bigger chance of getting HIV since you will be penetrating your penis in a blood-filled vagina. It would also be an ideal thing to do if you use condom especially if you are not sure about the health of your partner. But even those who are people who stick to one partner and are free from STD, are still advised not to have sex while she has her period as well.

However, if you are not baffled about the risks that you can get from having intercourse during menses, then do so. See to it that the worst days are over before you do this if you want it to be more fun for both of you.

To clean things easily afterward, do not forget to spread a dark colored towel on the bed to prevent the blood from staining the sheets. Any position would do. But since you want to avoid having the mess all around the bed, just be contented with the missionary for this time. You will be able to limit the blood flow even for just a little and would even allow your lady to use a menstrual cup if she is open to it.

Since the cervix of the woman is wider during her monthly period, the risk of getting HIV is bigger for her. At the same time she is also at risk for pelvic infections as well. But do you know that there is also a big risk for pregnancy even though these nasty egg cells are coming out? Just because she has her period does not already mean that she can’t get pregnant. Though it happens very rare, this is still possible.
